- Mother can stop eating for two
- No one will look twice at a women bottle feeding her baby.
- For the bottle-feeding mother, once she's received from delivery, nothing need stand between her and her mate.
- Formula can be expensive
- Need to buy bottles, formula, nipples, brush, bottle soap, etc.
- Babies who are formula-fed are also more prone to: asthma; allergies; childhood cancers; Type 1 diabetes (during childhood and later in life); cardiovascular disease; obesity; gastrointestinal infections; ear infections; and, exposure to
environmental contaminants (whereas breastmilk counteracts the adverse effects of pollutants)
- Some infant formula brands
have been withdrawn from the market due to
either deficient or excessive amounts of certain
nutrients, with life-threatening results.
