Year of The Dragon, 2012

Based on the Chinese Zodiac sign, the year of the dragon will start on January 23, 2012 and end on February 9, 2013. The Dragon is the fifth sign of the Chinese Zodiac, which consists of 12 Animal signs ( The Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Rooster, Dog, Boar).  The Dragon is a creature of myth and legend. In ancient China, the celestial Dragon represents an emperor and power. Today, it is the ultimate auspicious symbol signifying success and happiness. The Dragon symbol is a good fortune and sign of intense power, the Oriental Dragon is regarded as a divine beast - the reverse of the malicious monster that Westerners felt necessary to find and slay.

In Sung Dynasty, the dragon is described as having the head of an ox, muzzle of donkey, eyes of shrimp, horns of deer, body of a serpent covered with fish scales, and feet of a phoenix. The dragon usually clutches a pearl symbolic of its super-natural powers. Invariably accompanied by thunder and rain, dragons move like lightning and whirlwinds -- all powerful yet totally unpredictable.

POSITIVE

This Dragon is probably the most flamboyant and vibrant of all the Chinese astrological signs.  Highly confident and bold, Dragon people are born leaders, and usually do well in careers that give them a position of leadership.  They have a keen sense of imagination, and often dream up wild schemes and ideas, most of which are not feasible. Dragon people are eccentric and their lives are complex.  They have a very passionate nature and abundant health. Dragon people are usually the one who makes it on top, but in exchange of that success leads them tired and unfulfilled

NEGATIVE

Fortunately for them however, Dragons seem to be endowed with good fortune, which saves them from making major mistakes and helps them to excel when they apply themselves correctly.  The intrinsic element of this sign is earth, and its direction is east-southeast.
