White Dots

According to Dr. Fina Lopez, DMD, "White dots are usually warning signs that the tooth is starting to decay." If they are chalky white, it means the tooth has lost its luster; therefore, some minerals have been lost. All efforts should be focused on bringing back lost minerals to the teeth.

WAYS TO BRING BACK LOST MINERALS TO THE TEETH

  1.  Eat food that's high in calcium and phosphate
  2. Brush your teeth regularly with fluoridated toothpaste
  3. Visit you dentist for more advice
  4. Employing more aggressive preventive strategies to encourage the reversal of the impending tooth decay.
On the other hand, when new teeth erupt there may be a small or large white spots that are smooth and shiny on your teeth. These spots formed during development are called Enamel Hypoplasia or Hypocalcification. The presences of white dots definitely means it's time for your daughter to pay a visit to dentist soon.
