Our Body Needs

Our body needs many things in order to live and grow. Our body needs food to become strong and healthy.

GO FOOD



These are go foods. These foods will
make our body strong and active. They are called energy food becausethey help us become alert and energetic. They make us always on the go. Go foods are rich in carbohydrates.

Grow Food



Grow food helps us grow fast. They make us grow tall and strong, too. They make us become bigger because they are rich in protein. Grow foods repair broken tissues in our body. These kinds of foods belong to the group of grow foods, also called body-building foods. Chicken, fish, pork, and beef are example of foods in this group.

Glow Food



Fruits and vegetables are glow foods. They are rich inminerals  and vitamins. These also fight sickness. Vitamins  protect you from variuous diseases. Fruits like kalamansi and fuava are very rich in vitamin C. They help our body avoid getting colds. Minerals  help make your bones and teeth strong. Milk and cheese are examles of dooda that are rich in minerals. Our skin glows and looks beautiful because of the fruits and vegetables we eat. Yellow fruits and vegetables we eat. Yellow fruits and vegetables are also good for the eyes. These are among the glow foods, also called body-regulating foods.

Clothes



These are clothes to protect our body from getting sick froma colds and heat of the sun. We wear different clothes on different weather conditions. There are clothes that we wear during warm days and cold days. We should always wear clean clothes. 

Shelter



We need a sheltee or a house to protect us from the rain and from thw heat of the sun. A shelter is needed for us to have a place for sleeping, staying with our family, and for protection. We keep our things in the house. We feel safe in our own house.

Air and Water



Air and water are important to us and to all livng things. Without air and water, man cannot live.

The air we get from trees is ocygen. We beeathe in oxygen. Our body needs it. Our body needs clean water, too. We need to drink water everyday at least 8 glasses a day.
