Saints
Saints are people who love God very much. During their life on earth, they obeyed the teachings of Jesus. They shared their time, talents, food, and other things with other people. They sacrificed for the sake of love for God. The saints are now happy with God in heaven. We honor the saints because they followed the teaching of Jesus. They loved and offered their lives to the poor and the needy. They preached the Good News. Their lives are good examples for us. In our Church we have a special day to honor our saints. This special day is on November 1, every year. HOW DO WE HONOUR SAINTS? We try to be good and kind like them We pray to the saints to pray to God for us We observe All Saint's Day. We tell stories about the saints.
