Dreams

We spend one-third of our lives in sleep, and much of that time is devoted to dreams. Yet, dreams, which contain important messages from our subconscious mind, are not given the attention they deserve. In fact, the average man or woman simply ignores his or her dream.

Yet dreams, since the beginning of time, have never ceased to fascinate man. In biblical times, dreams were regarded as messages from the gods and those who were able to interpret dreams were believed to possess divine knowledge and were regarded as prophets and wise-men.

Indigenous people all over the world have always regarded the messages in dreams as being as important as knowledge gained during the waking state, if not more so.

The Senoi Tribe of Malaysia, for example, feels that if one hurts another member of a tribe during a dream, he or she is required by tribal law to ask forgiveness from the offended party during his or her waking state.

The American Indians believe that before the world existed, it was first dreamed by their god. Nothing appears in physical reality unless it was first dreamed.
