Matter

According to Chem4Kids, "Matter is everything around you. Matter is anything made of atoms and molecules. Matter is anything that has mass and takes up space. If you are new to the idea of mass, it is the amount of stuff in an object. We talk about difference between mass and weight in another section. Matter is sometimes related to light and electromagnetic radiation."

5 STATES OF MATTER

States of Matter are the different forms in which matter exists.
  1. Be Condenstates
  2. Solid
  3. Liquid
  4. Gases
  5. Plasma is found in stars and between planets, stars, and systems of every galaxy

PROPERTIES OF MATTER

  1. Physical Properties - The measurement of mass and other characteristics that can be seen without changing how that object looks are its physical properties.
    • Mass
    • Color
    • Shape
    • Volume is the amount of space an object occupies.
    • Density is the mass of a substance per unit volume.
  2. Chemical Properties - These are properties that can only be observed by changing the identity of the substance.
